Dr. Chamniern is a Thai National with more than 25 years experience in environmental and conservation 
    organisations, He is a well known and respected environmentalist in the conservation circles, especially
    in Thailand, and the ASEAN countries in the field of natural resources and urban environmental
    management, climate change adaptation with an emphasis on working with local governments and

    civil society. Before joining IUCN, he worked for more than fifteen years as a Senior Director at Thailand

    Environment Institute (TEI), an IUCN Member organization
